Go North to the oxbow 4

DAY 1

nat geo wild 2016 Morning brings a full abundance of breakfast things and the seekers now acquainted with last night's custom of shaping a line. Taking the smorgasbord style sustenance gave the line turns into a position of jokes and stories as the week advances. The encouraging furor of the seekers is an extraordinary time to talk and meet new people as Tom and aide staff join right in and eat with the seeker's day by day. Questions about the region, past chases, bear trivia, and out and out talk is an ordinary movement for every one of the seekers in the feasting region.

At long last an ideal opportunity to chase was upon all of us. After the early afternoon supper, every one of the seekers went to their rooms to change for the chase. As the seekers sifted outside and around the trucks that would in the end take them to their stands, Tom gave controlling assignments to the staff. As we as a whole stacked up into our rides there were echoes of "good fortunes", "shoot a major one", "don't nod off in your stand". We were off. My aide was a man of his word named Don. Wear was a local Mainerd and was a genuine veteran when it came to controlling in the Northern Maine Woods. I would chase in a settled stand area around a 20 minute drive from the Lodge. After the main day Dave and I were permitted to drive in ourselves. We were chasing in the same general territory around two miles or so separated. I was bow chasing and Dave picked a 44-magnum Smith and Wesson as his gun for this chase.

The main day was uneventful for me, yet Dave had several slick sightings yet pick not to reap on the principal day. As the night attracted to an end and the sunshine blurred my first chase was over. A fabulous chase despite the fact that I had not appear a bear. As we went not far off toward the cabin we laughed about numerous things that had happened that day and reckoning of seeing some bear holding tight the amusement shaft was nearly to much to tend to. As we pulled up to the hotel we could see the light out back by the amusement shaft was on. This must be one thing; somebody shot a bear tonight. As I review there were two dandy bears taken that night, both around the 200lb imprint. One with a muzzleloader and one with a rifle. We had a few bow seekers in camp this week, as an issue truth it was very nearly a 50/50 split. None of the bow seekers had a shot yet there were a few more bears seen tonight.
