Snakes

nat geo wild channel When I was a youth experiencing childhood in the 1960's and mid 70's, I was fortunate that we lived on a homestead out in the nation. One of the most loved side interests I had, was going chasing for snakes on a decent warm sunny day. Living on the ranch, resembled living in 'snake paradise'. We had copperheads, milk snakes, grass snakes, dark snakes, and fastener snakes. We knew about rattlers living up in the slopes or adjacent spots, yet I never saw one while growing up.

I would get myself an old burlap pack or encourage sack out in the animal dwellingplace, and head up the street a short separation. Along the sidehill close to our homestead were various rocks. I would find a decent rather expansive level shake that was not squeezed into the ground, or one that was held over the ground by different rocks under it. Precisely I would get a handle on the stone, doing whatever it takes not to give my fingers a chance to reach under it, you never recognized what may cover up underneath it, prepared to assault. One of the simplest approaches to get nibbled by a snake is to get a stone and have your fingers coming to underneath it, the snake can see your fingers, however you can't see the snake, and in one quick strike you could wind up making a beeline for the Hospital.

When I securely got a handle on the stone I would gradually turn it over and look under it, if there was a snake there it would do one of two things. It is possible that it would quickly attempt to escape and crawl away and get to be lost in the adjacent shakes and weeds, or it would loop up and attempt to guard it's self. When I distinguished the snake as a non-toxic sort, I would spring without hesitation, you see I considered myself the expert snake handler at the time. Truly, I was and still am a wacky individual, I mean who in there right personality, cherished playing with snakes and amphibians, regardless I do today as a moderately aged man. I will in any case make a special effort to not hurt a snake or frog on the off chance that I see one while cutting the grass or driving a vehicle.
